The North Carolina Dance Team Alliance (NCDTA) Ambassador Program is designed for dancers who want to go beyond performing and gain meaningful experience within the dance industry. Ambassadors play a key role in helping execute NCDTA competitions and combines while gaining exposure to how dance operates as a sport at the high school and collegiate level. This is more than volunteering — it’s experience, exposure, and opportunity.

TRAINING WEEKEND (MANDATORY ATTENDANCE)
• Charlotte — Friday 6/19 (meet & greet) & Saturday 6/20 (training)
Regional Competitions
• Asheville — October 11th, 2026
• Wilmington — November 15th, 2026
• Raleigh — December 5th, 2026
• Charlotte — January 10th, 2027
State Championship • Charlotte — February 28th, 2027
College Combines
• Wilmington — July 18th, 2026
• Charlotte — January 2nd, 2027
🛠 WHAT AMBASSADORS DO
Ambassadors assist with key event operations, including:
• Event setup and breakdown
• Dancer and spectator check-in
• Merchandise and sales support
• Assisting teams and coaches
• Awards coordination
• Supporting event flow and organization
• Social media and behind-the-scenes content
Ambassadors may also gain experience in:
• Score tabulation
• Judges logistics
• Competition operations
👯 WHO SHOULD APPLY
We are looking for dancers who are:
• High school or college dancers (ages 16+)
• Interested in leadership, dance, or event operations
• Positive, reliable, and professional
• Excited to be part of a growing dance community
📅 PROGRAM COMMITMENT
• Must attend a minimum of 3 events
• TRAINING WEEKEND MANDATORY
• Events take place across North Carolina
• Families are responsible for travel and lodging
• Meals are provided during event days
🧒 PARENT INFORMATION
This program is designed to be a safe, structured, and valuable experience for dancers.
• Ambassadors are supervised by NCDTA staff during events
• Dancers are actively engaged in assigned roles throughout the event
• The program promotes independence, responsibility, and professionalism
• Experience gained directly supports college applications and future opportunities
